Permanent hair removal despite birthmarks

What we call birthmarks or moles are usually benign changes in the skin’s pigment-forming cells. These growths are mostly slightly raised and stand out clearly in colour from the surrounding skin. A birthmark is therefore an obstacle to successful depilation since the light treatment for permanent hair removal focuses light on the hair and its roots via the pigmentation in order to capture the follicle through rapid heating of the skin and its melamin, the hair pigment. Needle epilation, however, does not require such focusing.

The needle of the modern epilation device is adjusted individually for each hair so as to gently and safely penetrate the natural hair shaft down to the follicle and the hair root. At the root, the needle emits an electric pulse that deactivates the follicle and causes the hair to fall out. After treatment, hair regrowth is no longer possible. The birthmark itself remains unaffected by this process and, like the surrounding skin, is unharmed.
